Things I Love: QV

Time Out Melbourne
QV is located on Swanston street, across from Melbourne Central and next to the State Library of Victoria. It hosts a variety of restaurants such as Mad Mex, Grill'd, Hanaichi, Sushi Sushi, and Max Brenner. QV has 3 different bubble tea shops located here, so it's a good spot to grab that if you don't want to wait in line at the Gong Cha along Swanston or if you're not up to walking through Chinatown. There are several boutiques located in this spot as well as general stores such as Daiso, Laguna, Big W, Woolworths, Officeworks, and several others. QV is also home to an apartment complex and fitness centre, which is super conveniently located for those working or studying in the CBD.

The spot has an open floor plan and a courtyard called QV Square, which is located in front of the Queen Victoria Women's Centre. It's a nice space to sit out in during the warmer months. For the restaurants located in this space with outdoor seating, heating lamps are used during the winter. Even during the cooler seasons, the space still lets you soak in some much needed sunlight. I would sit out on the benches in this area to eat a snack during the three seasons I was there for.

The shopping malls convenient location makes it a popular space for both overseas visitors and locals. It's easy to find packs of overseas students in this are during the weekend. I recommend this spot for a quick lunch and to grab a sweet at Breadtop, Cupcake Family, or one of the bubble tea shops.
